Hy-Vee customers participate in act of kindness

In conjunction with its annual rose sale, Hy-Vee Floral recently hosted a giving campaign with the theme of Throw Kindness Like Confetti.
Customers were offered an opportunity to purchase a single rose for the nursing home residents in town for $1 each. Collectively, 1,000 roses were purchased through the event, according to a press release.
The flowers were distributed between Good Samaritan Society of Albert Lea, Thorne Crest Senior Living Community, St. John’s Lutheran Community, Prairie Manor Cottages and Oak Park Place and roses were delivered Thursday morning.
According to a press release, the residents were very excited to receive the surprise delivery.
