Grapevine Twist

The Grapevine Twist Square Dance Club had a dance July 9 at the Senior Center in Skyline Plaza. Jerry Junck was the caller and called to almost 70 square dancers. Potluck was served after the dance. Servers for the evening were Ron and Betty Stoick. The next dance was scheduled for July 23. Chuck Moore was the caller. Salads were served after the dance. Visitors were welcome.

The Grapevine Twist also received an award at the Minnesota State Square Dance Convention for 65 years of being a member in good standing of the Minnesota Square Dance Federation.

 

Duplicate Bridge Club

The Duplicate Bridge Club played July 20 at the Senior Center in Austin with five tables playing.

Winners have been announced as David Ring and Orrin Roisen, first place; Warren Behrends and Eunice Michaelis and Vandy Newman and Ron Peters, tied for second place; Joyce Crowe and Millie Siever, third place; and Larry Crowe and Jim Fisher, fourth place.

Duplicate bridge is played at noon each Wednesday at the Senior Center in Austin. According to a press release, all bridge players are welcome to attend.
