1 arrested for weapon violation 

Albert Lea police arrested Alex Cortez Jr., 21, for a weapons violation in a courtroom at 9:08 a.m. Wednesday at Freeborn County Government Center.

 

1 arrested for drunken driving

Albert Lea police arrested William Nickolas Johannsen, 56, for second-degree driving while intoxicated, gross misdemeanor driving after cancellation and an ignition interlock violation after a suspicious person or vehicle was reported at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at 2126 Harmony Ave.

 

1 arrested on warrant

Police arrested Alex Arthur Lau, 24, on a Faribault County warrant for criminal sexual conduct at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday at 74703 245th St., outside Albert Lea.

 

1 cited for violations

Police cited Madelyne Perez-Kirsch, 18, for an open container violation, possession of drug paraphernalia, unregistered motor vehicle and underage possession of alcohol during a traffic stop at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Southeast Broadway and Frank Avenue.

 

Items damaged

Damage was reported to a plot at 11:22 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery. The damage was noticed Monday.

Slight damage to a vehicle was reported at 9:56 p.m. Wednesday at 139 E. William St.

 

Items stolen

Two campaign signs were reported missing at 9:01 p.m. Wednesday in Glenville.

A concession stand was reported broken into at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Island softball field in Hollandale. Items were reported taken.

A theft of VHS tapes was reported at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at 800 S. Fourth Ave.

 

Theft by fraud reported

Theft by fraud was reported at 10:17 a.m. Wednesday at 302 E. Fifth St.

 

Gas line hit

A gas line was reported hit and blowing out at 3:04 p.m. Wednesday at 1107 W. Front St. Minnesota Energy Resources responded and fixed the line.
