A Delano teenager was identified Thursday as the person who died in a rollover crash on Wednesday evening on Interstate 35 near Ellendale.

Kassondra L. Sage, 19, reportedly died at the scene, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Sage was driving a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser south on I-35 one mile north of the Ellendale exit when one of her rear tires blew. She reportedly lost control of the car, entered the median and rolled, causing the car to reportedly split in two.

A part of the car reportedly came to rest in the northbound lanes, where it was struck by a 1998 Harley-Davidson driven by Richard A. Peters, 58, of Albert Lea; a 2012 Dodge pickup driven by Michael A. Songstad, 44, of Emmons; and a 2015 Toyota Highlander driven by Gerald F. Wallis, 63, of Dellwood.

Peters was transported to Owatonna Hospital with an injury deemed not life-threatening. Songstad, Wallace and Kirsten R. Lorenz, 38, of Bricelyn, a passenger in the pickup, reportedly were not injured.

Northbound lanes on I-35 near the scene were reportedly closed for at least five hours.
