Do you really want Trump?

Remember when all those pesky Republicans could talk about was gloom and doom for this country? Well it seems that all they can talk about now is gloom and doom for the Republican Party. They have spent so much time witch-hunting the Democrats that they have gotten lost in their own group of finger pointers. The biggest problem with the Republican Party is that it consists of too many different sects of people. They have what they call the religious right. They have the Tea Party bunch. They have the pro-life bunch. They have the gun lobby bunch. They have the homophobia bunch. These are all minority groups, and they are all fighting with each other. The majority of the American people are on the opposite side of all of these.  Remember the old saying that a house divided is doomed to fail? Is it any wonder that a person like Trump became their front-runner. Nobody has any idea of what he stands for. He changes his mind every other week. In my letter to the editor published Jan. 3, I asked, “Can Trump save the Republican Party?” I also had in that letter that there are Republicans who would vote for a pig if you put a Republican sign in front of it. Trump sure proves my point. I would guess it to be like finding a needle in a haystack that Trump would win the presidency. But if he did, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he declared himself a Democrat. After all, if they would take a poll on who is the biggest con artist in this country it would have to be Trump. Now do you want someone like this running this great country of ours? I think not.
