Multiple mail thefts reported
Multiple reports of mail theft were reported Friday, including at:
• 4:02 p.m. Friday at 1409 Eberhart St.
• 4:04 p.m. Friday at 2529 South Shore Drive
• 4:07 p.m. Friday at 1725 South Shore Drive
• 4:09 p.m. Friday at 2420 South Shore Drive
• 4:11 p.m. Friday at 1417 South Shore Drive
• 4:12 p.m. Friday at 1127 South Shore Drive
• 4:13 p.m. Friday at 1625 South Shore Drive
• 4:14 p.m. Friday at 1609 South Shore Drive
• 4:16 p.m. Friday at 1601 South Shore Drive

Albert Lea police arrested Jordon Allen Vanryswyk, 29, after a chase vehicle pursuit was reported at 8:26 p.m. Friday at 400 N. Minnesota Highway 13. Vanryswk was held for fleeing in a motor vehicle, driving after revocation and reckless driving.

drunken driving
Police arrested Kevin William McCarthy, 52, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a report of a drunk driver was reported at 8:36 p.m. Sunday at 2222 E. Main St.
Police cited Anthony James Simon, 27, for third-degree driving while intoxicated at 9:07 p.m. Sunday at 509 Pillsbury Ave.
1 cited for reckless driving
Albert Lea police cited Cody Dale Dietrich, 24, for reckless driving on a traffic stop at 2:13 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of East Main Street and Prospect Avenue after a report of two vehicles racing eastbound was made. One person was cited for curfew and for reckless driving and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. Another person was reported cited for a curfew violation.

Police cited Arturo Jesus Navarrette, 34, for fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct at 12:26 a.m. Sunday at 134 W. William St. Navarrette was cited after a fight was reported.
2 cited for disorderly conduct
Police cited Alan Dexter Owens, 30, for disorderly conduct after a fight was reported at 10:37 p.m. Saturday at 1550 Blake Ave.
Police cited Greg Allan Heijerman, 30, for disorderly conduct at 1:20 a.m. Sunday at 130 W. College St. Heijerman was cited after two males were reported beating up another male in an alley.

Police were reported as having cited someone for a marijuana violation and open container on a traffic stop at 3 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of East Fountain Street and North Newton Avenue.

Albert Lea police arrested Rudys Andres Tamayo-Espinosa, 22, on a warrant at a traffic stop at 5:39 a.m. Friday at the intersection of East Main Street and Prospect Avenue.
Items stolen
A backpack was reported stolen from a car at 11:46 p.m. Friday at 404 Fountain St.
A Samsung Galaxy S6 cellphone and charger were reported taken at 1:20 p.m. Saturday at 715 Johnson St.
An argument over stolen property was reported at 2:11 p.m. Saturday at 218 W. College St.
An apartment was reported broken into and items missing at 3:33 p.m. Saturday at 212 S. Washington Ave.
Vehicle damaged
License plates were reported taken off of a vehicle and tail lights smashed at 12:39 p.m. Saturday at 621 Hope Lane.
Exposure reported
A male was reported as having started to masturbate at 9:37 p.m. Saturday at 1550 Blake Ave.
Assault reported
A person reported being hit at 11:20 a.m. Saturday at 133 W. William St. The person was reportedly bleeding, and it was unknown if the suspect was still there.
Vehicle reported on fire
A vehicle was reported on fire in the driveway at 1:56 p.m. Sunday at 1525 Margaretha Ave.
Person transported after accidental gun shot
One person was reported transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with an accidental gun shot to the hand at 12:42 a.m. Friday in Albert Lea.
