Woman remains in serious condition

The woman struck by a car while crossing Front Street on Wednesday in Albert Lea remains in serious condition, according to a St. Marys Hospital spokeswoman today.

Dorothy Klinger, 84, of Corpus Christi, Texas, was reportedly crossing West Front Street mid-block between Fourth Avenue and Maplehill Drive when she was struck by a 2000 Mercury Sable headed eastbound.

 

1 transported after tree branch falls

One person was reported transported by Gold Cross Ambulance after a branch fell on the person at 2:04 p.m. Friday at 107 S. Rotterdam Ave. in Hollandale. The person — whose name was not released — was bleeding from the arm and apparently sustained a shoulder injury.

 

Boy transported after dog bite

A 3-year-old boy was reported at the emergency room at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin after a dog bite at 3:08 p.m. Friday at 23906 865th Ave., outside Oakland.

 

3 arrested for drunken driving

Deputies arrested Gradon Paul Schultz, 26, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and third-degree test refusal during a traffic stop at 2:15 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Katherine Street.

Deputies arrested Chain Rodriguez, 49, for driving while intoxicated at 6:29 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 69 and Freeborn County Road 17.

Deputies arrested Stacy Lynn Baldwin, 28, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop at 3:51 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of South Broadway Avenue and East Front Street.

 

 

Vehicle fire reported

A vehicle fire was reported at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at 206 S. Central Ave. in Geneva. The fire apparently started when the vehicle’s transmission overheated while a tree was being pulled. The fire was extinguished by Hollandale and Geneva fire departments.

 

1 arrested for domestic assault

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies reportedly arrested Thomas Harold Broitzman, 57, for misdemeanor domestic assault at 9:27 p.m. Saturday at 85826 157th St., outside Glenville.

 

2 arrested on warrants

Deputies arrested Mindy Suzanne Seberson, 37, on two warrants at 12:22 a.m. Sunday at 510 S.E. First Ave. in Glenville.

Deputies arrested Caleb Rodney Buchanan, 34, on a warrant at 10:46 p.m. Friday at 81876 110th St., outside Glenville.

 

1 arrested for drug possession

Deputies arrested Amanda Jo Lynch for fifth-degree Tramadol possession, three counts of prescription pills not in bottle, driving after suspension and gross misdemeanor no insurance at a traffic stop at 4:25 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of East Clark Street and East Main Street.
