The woman struck by a car while crossing Front Street on Wednesday in Albert Lea has been upgraded to serious condition, according to a St. Marys Hospital spokeswoman Friday afternoon. 

Dorothy Klinger, 84, of Corpus Christi, Texas, had been in critical condition after the crash.

She was reportedly crossing West Front Street mid-block between Fourth Avenue and Maplehill Drive when she was struck by a 2000 Mercury Sable headed eastbound.
