Albert Lea Workforce Center to host open house

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton has proclaimed September as Workforce Development Month.
According to a press release, Minnesota has invested more than $111 million dollars in workforce development for the 2017 fiscal year. The funding encompasses a broad range of programs, services and resources for job seekers and employers. There are 48 Workforce Centers across the state.
To celebrate the occasion, the Albert Lea Workforce Center, 2200 Riverland Drive, will host an open house so the public can explore all the resources the center offers. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.
According to a press release, counselors will be on hand to review resumes, cover letters and job listings for the Albert Lea area. Information will be available on training programs for those looking for career advancement.
