It has been quite the run for the Lake Mills Bulldogs volleyball team.
The Bulldogs have yet to lose a match all season. They have yet to even lose a set.
The Bulldogs moved to 21-0 overall with five victories during a tournament in Forest City Saturday morning.
Lake Mills dispatched Webster City, Clarion-Goldfield/Dows, Webster City, Roland Story and Algona, not allowing more than 15 points in one set.
The Bulldogs were led by Hailey Borgmeyer’s 32 kills. Mallory Wilhelm finished with 28 and Lexi Groe had 27.
“We have great offensive balance,” said Bulldogs coach Jim Boehmer. (Hailey) and (Lexi) can destroy the ball, but we also have other players developing and stepping up.”
Robyn Bowman finished the day with 97 assists.
“I really feel (Robyn) is one of the best of her days,” Boehmer said. “She really knows how to handle our offense and she is set on becoming a better setter. She does a great job of running our tempo.”
Dana Baumann finished with 32 digs and Borgmeyer added 23.
“We got better Saturday,” Boehmer said. “We have been working on getting out of the gate better in matches, and we were able to accomplish that.”
Lake Mills is 21-0 in matches and 47-0 in sets this season.
Lake Mills will be on the road at North Union Tuesday.
Start time for the match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
