Lecture series to focus on “Andy Griffith Show”

The Freeborn County Historical Museum’s lecture series; “Historically Speaking”; will resume for the fall season on Saturday. The lecture will be “Living a Mayberry Life.” Gary Schindler, “Andy Griffith Show” devotee and lecture series coordinator, will lead a presentation focused on a history of the “Andy Griffith Show,” and a “where are they now” review of the cast members that he has met over the years. Attendees will also watch one of the most popular episodes of the show: “Man in a Hurry.” The lecture will also include a performance of Mayberry-related songs and poems. The lecture starts at 9 a.m. and it runs until 10:30. Admission is free to museum members and $5.00 for nonmembers. Coffee and cookies are available for the attendees.
