“Living Well with Chronic Conditions” a Stanford chronic disease self-management program, is a six-week series to teach participants practical skills for better living. The meetings will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays starting today in the Mayo HealthReach meeting room 1, 1705 S.E. Broadway in Albert Lea.
Any adult with a long-term condition such as arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson’s disease, depression, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis or another long-term condition is welcome to attend.
The goals of these meetings are to give participants support, help them find ways to deal with pain and fatigue, discover better nutrition and exercise choices, understand and manage symptoms, learn ways to talk to their doctor and family about their health and plan for the future.
