Location of splash pad of concern

This is in regards to the proposed splash pad. I am concerned that the location is too close to a busy intersection. I have mentioned this to one of the people promoting the pad, but I thought I would see if anyone else felt as I do about the location.
I know that they plan to put a fence around the pad, but I would assume that there will be children walking and running across Broadway Avenue and Fountain Street to and from the pad. Especially if there is an activity going on at Fountain Lake Park, and the city has said that they want to encourage more activities at the park. I envision parents at the park attending an activity and their children will be going back and forth to the splash pad across a busy street. Or maybe the parent will be at some other location uptown and the children will be going to the pad.
I don’t know what rules, if any, they are going to have for the pad. Maybe they are going to ask parents to be on location while their children are at the pad. I hope they are considering this location carefully.
