A new physician assistant recently joined the orthopedics team at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

Kaitlin Gerber earned her master’s degree from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska.

She enjoys the full spectrum of the orthopedics practice, but has a passion for total knee arthroplasty procedures.

“It’s amazing to be part of improving individual’s day to day activities,” Gerber said.

“I am most looking forward to practicing at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea because I enjoy the small-town feel,” she said. “Every employee in the hospital has been so kind and welcoming to me, and I have witnessed this genuine kindness overflowing to our patients.”

Outside of the office, Gerber enjoys running, reading a good novel and spending time with her family and friends.
