It was another explosive night on offense for the NRHEG Panthers when it played Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Friday night.
Perry Peterson ran for four touchdowns and the Panthers scored 20 points or more in two quarters on their way to a 58-8 victory.
Not only did Peterson rush for four touchdowns, he returned an interception for a touchdown.
Sam Prigge found Cole Staloch on a 65-yard touchdown toss in the first quarter, and the Panthers never looked back.
“After not practicing Thursday and our guys sandbagging because of the floods, I was concerned with how we would perform,” said Panthers coach Dan Stork. “It was a very quiet bus ride, but the guys came out strong and dominated in all apsects of the game.”
The Panthers totaled 492 yards of offense while holding G-F-W to under 100.
“I was very pleased with how the defense played,” Stork said. “Holding an opponent to 99 yards is something we didn’t expect, but I am really happy with how far we have come the last few weeks.”
NRHEG will host Sibley East Friday.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
