ELKO NEW MARKET — Police in Scott County said they’ve caught up with the motorcyclist that struck and killed a pedestrian before fleeing.

The 24-year-old woman was hit by the motorcycle about 2:30 a.m. Sunday in Elko New Market. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Scott County Sheriff’s Office deputies and local police investigated and found the suspect who was booked into the county jail.
