Muilenburg will head to the state meet, as she capped off her season with an 11th-place finish in a time of 19:10.6.

“(Autumn) has been so consistent all season and all of her hard work paid off Thursday,” Haney said. “It is so much fun to see a runner who has trained so hard to see her goals coming true.”

For Goodell, it will be his second time at the state meet. He finished 91st in 2015.

For Muilenburg, this will be her first time at the state meet.

The state meet will be held Nov. 5 at St. Olaf College.
