B. Urban Luna, 1958-2016

Memorial services for Bernadine Urban Luna of Clarks Grove will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Russell Scepaniak will officiate. Friends may visit with family from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour before the service at the church.
Urban died unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at his home. He was 58.
He was born May 25, 1958, in Geneva Township, the son of Lucas G. and Gloria (Gomez) Luna Sr. Urban grew up in the Hollandale area, the oldest of seven children in the Luna family.
He graduated from Albert Lea High School with the class of 1976. He married Melinda Broskoff on May 21, 1993. They were later divorced.
Urban worked for Farmstead Foods and Alamco Wood Products before retiring. He was a very avid fisherman and enjoyed sewing, woodworking, tinkering around with tools and spending time with family.
Urban will be greatly missed by his family: son, Nicholas Andrew Luna of Chatfield; daughter, Chelsie (Luna) and her husband, Joe Pallardy of Circle Pines and their son, Colton, and another blessing to arrive in December; mother, Gloria G. Luna of Hollandale; siblings Lucas (Deb) Luna of Hollandale, Matthew (Randie) Luna of Albert Lea, Mark (Marie) Luna of Maplewood, Dolores (Jeff) Weberg of Hollandale, Pat Luna and Jon (Kristie) Luna of Austin; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Urban was preceded in death by his father, Lucas G. Luna Sr.
Urban will be remembered for his keen, witty sense of humor and his willingness to always help others. He will be greatly missed.
