Brooklyn Center apartment building fire displaces 27 people

BROOKLYN CENTER — Fire in a 12-unit apartment building in Brooklyn Center displaced 27 people.

The Red Cross was helping the 14 adults and 13 children after the Sunday evening blaze.

Deputy Fire Chief Gary Hendrickson said in a press release that the fire was reportedly started on the building’s third floor. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately determined, but authorities said they don’t think it’s suspicious.
