Construction end is in sight

We, the residents on Park, East Park, West Park, Grace, Mariner’s Lane and Harriet Lane are really now able to see the end of the reconstruction tunnel. Concrete is being poured in large quantities, including the day of this letter, Saturday, Oct. 22. We are seeing construction crews from Hoffman Concrete in Mankato and Ulland Brothers from Cloquet working as well as the installers of underground things.

It has been a long summer, but the end is in sight. Workers have been very cooperative and understanding and the city inspectors are most helpful. There is nothing bad about this project, and I am pleased. The only suggestion would be that since the work is to last 100 years, maybe we should have that long to pay for it?!
