Daniel “Danny” Eugene Rainwater, 63, of Northwood died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at his home.
A celebration of his life will be Oct. 22, 2016, at Watova Full Gospel Christian Church. The Rev. Joe Goodin will officiate. Inurnment will be in Ball Cemetery in Childers, Oklahoma.
Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave. S, in Northwood, is in charge of the local arrangements.
Daniel “Danny” Eugene Rainwater was born Sept. 5, 1953, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Glendell Rainwater and Helen (Reynolds) Rainwater. Danny graduated from McLain High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked for the United States government as a postal worker for 38 years in Nowata, Oklahoma, until his retirement, moving to Northwood in 2010. Danny also worked part time for Walmart in Albert Lea.
He was united in marriage to Phyllis Lowe on September 8, 1972, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing working on electronics, loved the Oklahoma Sooners football and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, was a Minnesota Vikings fan and a big military supporter, but his greatest love and enjoyment was his family and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Phyllis Rainwater, of Northwood; his children Tammy (Thomas) Estes of Albert Lea and Kris (Nicole) Rainwater of Columbia, South Carolina; his mother, Helen Rainwater of Cordova, Tennessee; his father and mother-in-law Felix and Su Lowe of Delaware, Oklahoma; his sister, Brenda (Charles) McDaniels, of Germantown, Tennessee; brothers-in-law Mitch (Edwina) Lowe of Delaware, Oklahoma, and Mike (Christine) Lowe of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; grandchildren Shana Rainwater, of Rochester, New York, Audra Rainwater of Ulysses, Kansas, Cole Estes of Albert Lea, Chase Wing of Columbia, Blake and Hannah Estes of Albert Lea, and Kaleb and Jakob Rainwater of Columbia; nephews and nieces Timothy McDaniels of Germantown and Amos Lowe, Tabitha (Britt) Nixon, Tessa Lowe and Trint Lowe all of Delaware, Oklahoma; as well as his co-workers at Walmart in Albert Lea.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glendell Rainwater; and a brother-in-law, Marcus Lowe.
