The city of Albert Lea and Freeborn County wants to remind residents that they will be taking flood damaged items at the transfer station through today.

Customers must contact Jody Larson at (507) 373-3965 or jody.larson@co.freeborn.mn.us before bringing items out to the transfer station.

Accordingt to a press release, customers will need to provide their name, address, phone number, number of occupants in the home, what was damaged, how it was damaged and the approximate value.

This information is required as it will aid Freeborn County in assessing the individual damages that were incurred.

The Albert Lea Transfer Station is open from noon to 6 p.m. today.
