Foundations and service club help the community

As the director of the Freeborn County Historical Museum, Library and Village, it is important that I make it a priority to be sustainable. The museum is so fortunate to have several service clubs, along with foundations, that contribute to the museum on a regular basis. Recently, the Kiwanis Golden KII Club of Albert Lea presented the museum with a donation towards the building fund. This club has been very generous over the years to the programs and initiatives at the museum. We would like to thank them for their many years of support.
The museum has also been the benefactor of a grant from the Kenneth W. Olson Foundation through the Freeborn County Communities Foundation. With this grant, we are able to continue our Discover History Days, purchase additional archiving supplies and upgrade our displays. We appreciate the relationship we have had with the foundation over the years.
These are just two of the many supporters we have at the museum. We would like to thank everyone who helps keep history alive in Albert Lea and Freeborn County. Together we will preserve our history for years to come.
