Knights notch 11th straight

The Alden-Conger volleyball team kept it rolling Monday night against Maple River.
The Knights came into the match with a 10-match winning streak and they extended to 11 matches by sweeping Maple River.
The Knights didn’t allow more than 18 points in a set.
Alden-Conger was led by a balanced offensive attack. Erika Bute had nine kills, 19 assists and 11 digs. Elynn Johnson finished with seven kills. Abby Reyerson and Kelsey Newman recorded 13 and 12 digs, respectively.
The win concludes the regular season portion of the Knights schedule. They finished with a record of 15-5.
The Section 2A tournament will start Monday.
Alden-Conger’s opponent has yet to be determined.
