Remember other elections after voting for president

November’s general election is coming up fast. As an individual seeking a local elected position I just wanted to remind you how important it is to vote the entire ballot. After casting your vote for president, House of Representative, state representative, and state senator, be sure to vote for your county commissioner and city councilman. Your vote truly matters in this election cycle.

I am a candidate who does not have an agenda and will not have an agenda, your city councilman really shouldn’t run on an “agenda.” The only agenda one should run on is listening to the residents of the 5th Ward. I am running for the 5th Ward City Council seat to represent my friends and neighbors in the 5th Ward, and to also give them a voice. Whether you own a business or live in the 5th Ward, it’s important to hear what you think about what’s happening in our ward and in our city.

After last week’s storms, I got a phone call on Sunday from a resident down the road from where I live. I didn’t even hesitate to go down and listen to this resident and to visit with his neighbor to hear their concerns. That’s what being a city councilman is all about, being there for our friends and neighbors and helping them find resolution when they need it from the city of Albert Lea. This November cast your vote for a person who will put the 5th Ward first in decision making. I am hopeful that with your help and your vote I will be the next city councilman for the 5th Ward in Albert Lea.
