Tigers fall to Raiders in swimming

The Albert Lea girls’ swimming and diving team competed in Northfield Tuesday evening.
The Tigers got a number of good performances, despite falling to the Raiders, 95-77.
The foursome of Jadea Koziolek, Emily Taylor, Natalie Nafzger and Lexie Simon took third place in the 200-yard medley relay with a combined time of 2:05.13.
Alana Skarstad took third place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:18.78. Emma Grossman finished in fifth place with a time of 2:33.01.
Taylor took second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:22.66. Koziolek finished fifth with a time of 2:31.68 and Emily Jensen took sixth with a time of 2:55.43. She also took fourth in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:19.77.
Skarstad, Nafzger and Lauren Bizjak finished third, fourth and fifth in the 100 freestyle with times of 1:04.81, 1:04.82 and 1:08.05, respectively.
Jill Peterson competed and took second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 6:32.37. Esperanza Johnson took fifth with a time of 6:57.85 and Grossman finished sixth with a time of 7:01.53.
