The Albert Lea boys’ soccer team limped its way through the last month and a couple of weeks through the season. Having not won since Aug. 30, the Tigers traveled to New Ulm for the start of the section tournament.

The Tigers finally found some offense, socring three goals in a 3-0 victory.

The three goals were more than the Tigers scored in their last seven matches combined.

Nonetheless, this is the time of year teams need to be playing the best, and the Tigers conquered their first challenge of the postseason.

Albert Lea will take on Mankato West, in Mankato, on Saturday.

Start time for the match is scheduled for 1 p.m.
