Choices made every day that matter

A friendly reminder that every day is an election day. We vote for the kind of country we want to live in every day. With every person that we choose to acknowledge, embrace, ignore or denigrate, we make sure that each individual knows where they stand in our world. With every dollar we spend locally, corporately or internationally, we choose whom we support with our almighty dollar — the most globally recognized source of power. We choose which values to instill in our children, the new generation that will take our country forward into the future. When we donate to this charity and not that one, give to this disaster and not that one, we are choosing what is most important to us. I hope that today, and every day, we strive to uphold the values that we hold most dear and that we don’t wait around for your government to make the world a better place. Start local, think global and always teach our children to do the same. Don’t buy into the mainstream media controlling the populace with fear. Recognize and appreciate the beauty of life all around us. If we don’t see good in the world around us, random acts of kindness are a great place to start.
