Kudos to the Tribune for the editorial “Admit mistakes, come together and move ahead,” regarding Albert Lea Schools. We are only humans and we all make mistakes, but we can’t use that as an excuse. Emotions are often a challenge and pride gets in the way of coming together. Our students and committed staff deserve our support. It’s time to unite our community by forgiving one another, apologizing for the past, accepting differences and moving forward. We can work side by side without seeing eye to eye. Let’s learn from the past and create a great future. Remember, it’s not about any one of us but for the greater good of the district and our kids.
