The Retired Educators of Albert Lea will meet at noon on Thursday, November 10 at The American Legion in Albert Lea. Jim Munyer, history buff and former District No. 241 counselor will present, “Campaign Buttons Through the Years”, which gives new perspective and some humor to elections. If you have not been contacted by Sunday night, and would like to attend, call Ann Berry (373- 6004) to make a reservation. If you find that you must cancel your reservation or decide that you can come, please call Ann Berry 373-6004 before Thursday, November 10 at 8:30 AM the morning of the meeting.
Ann Berry will be looking for Salvation Army Bell Ringers for Thursday, December 8. Call her if you are available. We will also be asking for contributions to the Albert Lea Education Foundation, Teacher Grants, which funds extra classroom projects that are not in the regular school budget.
ALAREAM is the local organization of retired educators which is part of the state group, REAM. Both provide opportunities to socialize and to keep abreast of legislative issues affecting health and teacher pensions.
