Winona State University has been named a military-friendly school for 2016, according to Victory Media’s 2016 guide to military-friendly schools.

According to the guide, Winona State actively recruits and supports members of the military and is among the more than 1,200 schools that qualified for the guide.

Within career services at Winona State there are veteran resources available, including links to job search websites, links for military students and a My Military GPS LifePlan.

WSU has received the military friendly designation annually since 2012.

Military-friendly schools practice active recruitment and retention of students in the military, and they provide programs and policies for student support. The schools also provide academic accreditation, credit policies and flexibility for their military students.
