Erika Bute was one steal away from a triple-double as she helped the Alden-Conger girls’ basketball to an easy win over Schaeffer Academy, 57-30, Tuesday night.

Bute finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and nine steals, and Abbie Theusch scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds for the Knights, who moved to 4-2 on the season with the win.

Alden-Conger built a 13-point at halftime, then extended it in the second half.

It will have one more game before Christmas break, coming Thursday against Randolph at home.
