Glenville native earns degree
Jasmine Janae Hansen of Glenville was among about 1,400 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises Dec. 16-17 at Pinnacle Bank Arena, according to a press release.
Hansen earned a master of arts for teachers from the Office of Graduate Studies.
Sebastian Elbaum, Bessey, professor of computer science and engineering at Nebraska, delivered the address at the graduate and professional degrees ceremony Dec. 16. Chuck Hagel, former U.S. senator and former secretary of defense, gave the address at the undergraduate commencement Dec. 17. Chancellor Ronnie Green presided over the ceremonies.
The graduates are from 36 states, the District of Columbia and 34 countries.
