It is a new week, but the Albert Lea girls’ hockey team is still struggling to score goals.

Mankato East got 33 shots off against Albert Lea netminder Maddie Schneider with five of them slipping past her in a 5-0 victory.

The Tigers managed just seven shots on the night.

The Cougars got five goals from five different skaters. Taylor Kanstrup led the Cougars with a goal and two assists.

Albert Lea has managed two goals in its last six games.

It will look to get back on track Thursday night against Windom.
