Fast start, defense helps Panthers

The NRHEG boys’ basketball team had little trouble Thursday night against JanesvilleWaldorf-Pemberton.

The Panthers started quickly and never looked back en route to a 65-26 win.

Oakley Baker and Tyler Raimann each scored 16 points for the Panthers.

“We started the game 6-6 from the field, and that sparked our guys,” Panthers coach Pat Churchill said. “Also, I felt we played great defense in the first half.”

NRHEG held JWP without a point for the first 10 minutes of the half and had a 19-0 lead at one point.

NRHEG will play St. Peter tonight at Target Center in Minneapolis.

Tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
