First Lutheran hosts Christmas recital

A Christmas recital was presented by the students of private music teacher Sharon L. Astrup-Scott at 2 p.m. Dec. 11 at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Pictured, from left, are Astrup-Scott, violin; Eunice Bakken, violin; and Thomas Martinez, violin. Other students of all ages performed piano, vocal and cello solos. Tim O’Shields, minister of music at First Lutheran Church, gave the welcome. A reception followed the recital performance. Astrup-Scott has a bachelor’s of music and a master’s of music with an emphasis in performance and technique. - Provided
