Court documents state Solano drove to a house in Glenville and belittled her. He reportedly physically assaulted, choked and threatened to kill the victim.

The victim was reportedly seen at Mercy Hospital in Mason City following the incident.

Solano was originally also charged with domestic assault by strangulation and misdemeanor domestic assault, but those charges were dismissed.

Two counts of misdemeanor domestic assault in a separate file were also dismissed.
