A Mason City man who allegedly sent nude pictures to a 14-year-old girl in October pleaded not guilty Thursday in Freeborn County District Court.

Isaiah Jon Homan, 21, is charged with use of a minor in a sexual performance and solicitation of a child to engage in sexual conduct.

Court documents state that on Oct. 2 the alleged victim reported that Homan had sent her pictures of his private parts and had told her his name was Charlie.

A forensic search of the alleged victim’s phone Oct. 24 reportedly revealed text messages and nude photos of the girl and Homan.

Court documents state the girl said that when she told Homan she was 14 years old on Sept. 29, he “started flipping out” and hung up. He reportedly later called her back and apologized, explaining that he was shocked to find out how old she was, according to court files. She said Holman drove to her home Oct. 1 to have sex with her, but she did not go outside to meet him because she was scared.

Homan reportedly told the mother of the alleged victim that the girl told him she was 17 when she told him she was calling the police.

A settlement conference is scheduled for Feb. 9, and a jury trial is scheduled for May 9, if the case has not been settled by then.

Using a minor in a sexual performance carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
