2 area residents injured in crash

Two Glenville area residents were injured in a crash Monday south of Albert Lea.

Brian Rehdantz, 59, and Heather Rehdantz, 33, were transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with injuries deemed not life-threatening.

Brian Rehdantz was driving a 2003 Buick Century south on Freeborn County Road 18, approaching Freeborn County Road 13 when a 2009 Chrysler Town & Country driven by a 14-year-old girl from Iowa pulled out in front of the Buick at a stop sign at about 4:45 p.m., according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

The girl is expected to be charged, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Neither the girl or the passenger in the Town & Country, Margaret Oakland, 77, were injured in the crash.
