2 arrested for domestic incidents

Albert Lea police arrested Dan Lee Maine, 42, for domestic assault by strangulation after a domestic incident was reported at 6:20 p.m. Monday at 723 Larrimore Circle.

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Alek Robert Haldorson-Struck, 23, after a domestic incident was reported at 4:28 a.m. today at 2502 South Shore Drive.

2 arrested, cited for theft

Albert Lea police arrested Shaun Edward Whelan, 30, for theft, fleeing an officer on foot, fifth-degree drug possession and possessing stolen property after a theft was reported at 10:09 a.m. Saturday at 201 W. Main St. Police records state Whelan is facing financial transaction card fraud in another case.

Police cited Quentin Deon Brown, 34, for theft after a theft in progress was reported at 9:37 p.m. Monday at Dollar General, 201 W. Main St. Brown was held on an Olmsted County warrant.

1 arrested after chase

Police arrested a juvenile for fleeing in a motor vehicle, hit and run and having no Minnesota driver’s license at 4:47 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of East Front Street and Newton Avenue.  The juvenile was transported to Red Wing.

1 arrested for drunken driving

Police arrested Christopher Laurence Hauge, 40, for second-degree driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop at 2:17 a.m. Sunday at 709 Wilson St.

4 arrested on warrants

Police arrested Joseph Eugene Waltz Jr., 21, on a local warrant and false info at 12:48 p.m. Friday at 1550 Blake Ave.

Police arrested one person on a local warrant at 5:14 p.m. Friday at 411 S. Broadway Ave. The name was not available as of press time.

Miguel Angel Muniz, 29, turned himself in on a local warrant at 2:47 a.m. Monday at 411 S. Broadway.

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Kevin John Christensen on a local warrant at 9:21 a.m. Monday at 20643 715th Ave. outside Albert Lea.

1 arrested for violations

Police arrested Shanda Jo Halvorsen, 28, for driving after revocation, gross misdemeanor no proof of insurance and possessing drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at 3:46 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Southeast Broadway Avenue and East Eighth Street.

3 cited after altercation

Police cited three people for disorderly conduct after a large fight was reported at 11:59 a.m. Monday in the commons area of Albert Lea High School.

No injuries reported after crash

No injuries were reported after a school bus and a car reportedly crashed at 3:10 p.m. Monday at the intersection of East Main Street and Newton Avenue.

Sexual assault reported

Sexual assault was reported at 8:37 p.m. Saturday in Albert Lea.

Thefts reported

Identity theft and suspicious activity were reported at 10:05 a.m. Friday at 21170 775th Ave. outside Albert Lea.

Counterfeit activity was reported at 2:39 p.m. Friday at 2200 Riverland Drive.

Counterfeit activity was reported at 7:41 p.m. Monday at 1820 Margaretha Ave.
