Albert Lea skates past Le Sueur-Henderson

Three first-period goals sparked the Albert Lea boys’ hockey team to a 6-0 victory over Le Sueur-Henderson on Saturday afternoon.
Sam Chalmers scored four minutes into the game, then scored later in the period to give his Tigers a 2-0 lead. Bergan Lundak scored two minutes after Chalmers’ second goal to put the Tigers up 3-0.
Michael Savelkoul scored the lone goal in the second period, then Cole Wentzel scored two goals in the third period for the Tigers, who moved to 6-7 with the win.
Three Albert Lea goals came on the power play.
Goalie Ben Witham stopped 21 shots in the win.
Albert Lea will travel to Northfield on Saturday.
