The Albert Lea High School Concert Choir is getting prepared for its trip to Tennessee in March. The fundraising will soon wind up with a spaghetti supper and bake sale from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 29 at Marian Hall at St. Theodore Catholic Church.

Meals will be $7 per person and children 5 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased in advance from choir students or at the door the night of the event.

According to a press release, community support and donations from alumni and local organizations will make this trip possible for about 40 students and 10 adults. Highlights of the trip will be visits to the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium, Hermitage, Wild Horse Saloon, Country Music Hall of Fame, Graceland and the National Civil Rights Museum.

The choir will perform throughout the tour including at a Nashville church and at LaBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis. Monetary donations will be accepted to help those students still needing funding.
