Cormac “Corry” Thomas McDermott, 85, born in Boston, formerly of Albert Lea, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at his home on Ambergris Caye, Belize.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Knudson Knips McDermott; his three children, Cheryl, Seanw and Mary Colleen McDermott; his sister, Patricia McCleod; and his four stepchildren, Cyan Loonan, Cindy Voss, Monte Knips and Apryl Scrivner.  A memorial service will take place in the spring on Ambergris Caye.
