To the opening of Cabin Coffee Co.
We are excited to see Cabin Coffee Co. renovate and open this week on Bridge Avenue between Fountain Warehouse Liquor and Papa Murphy’s.
We wish this business the best of luck in the future, and we hope people take the time to check it out. The business offers much more than simply coffee — it also offers drinks such as hot chocolate and even some food, too.
To the installation of new bleachers at Albert Lea City Arena.
People who use the bleachers at Roy Nystrom Arena at Albert Lea City Arena will be pleased to see the replacement of 450 seats as well as updates for better accessibility.
The project, conducted by Ellendale-based Seating & Athletic Facility Enterprises LLC, took about a month and was completed last week.
The upgrades are some of a few changes taking place to improve the building, including flooring work and continuing area quality efforts. It’s nice to see the improvements.
To $150,000 in broadband funding coming to Freeborn.
We were pleased to see a Freeborn County community included in the list to receive $34 million in broadband infrastructure grants announced this week by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development and Lt. Gov. Tina Smith.
Bevcomm received a $150,000 grant that will serve 10 unserved households, six unserved businesses, nine underserved households and six underserved businesses in the rural Freeborn area. The total eligible project is about $377,000 with an about $226,000 match.
We believe it is vital to have high-speed, reliable internet access available for residents and businesses.
