Lake Mills beats N-K in girls’ hoops

Laura Knudtson scored 24 points and had six steals, and Jewell Gasteiger added 19 as the Lake Mills girls’ basketball team beat Northwood-Kensett on Saturday night 55-40.
Calli Christianson scored 13 points for the Vikings and Mackenzie Costello chipped in 10 points, but the star of the night was Knudtson.
She hit six three-pointers in the game and scored 13 of her 24 points in the first half to help the Bulldogs to a six-point lead at halftime.
Northwood-Kensett scored two points in the second quarter.
Lake Mills finished the game with 23 steals.
It is now 10-5 on the season and Northwood-Kensett is 5-9.
Lake Mills will host Eagle Grove on Tuesday while Northwood-Kensett will continue its five-game homestand with a game against North Butler.
