The box office for the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center in downtown Albert Lea is now open and selling tickets Monday through Friday.

The new weekday box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., except on holidays, with extended hours on Thursday, which will be open until 5:30 p.m.

According to a press release, heater patrons can purchase tickets to Albert Lea Community Theatre plays and musicals, Met Opera Live in HD, and the many concerts and other performances at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center at 147 North Broadway.

The new box office hours are a result of recent collaboration with Albert Lea Community Education, ACT and the City of Albert Lea. Community Ed staff, which recently moved offices to the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center, will assist in selling tickets during these new box office hours.

“We are so happy that we are now able to provide this expanded service to our patrons and make it more convenient to purchase tickets to the many performances and events held at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center every year,” Mary Ellen Johnson, president of the ACT Board of Directors said.
