The Albert Lea Education Association and District 241 is seeking your letter of nomination for the 2016-17 Teacher of the Year.

Public appreciation of teacher contributions is felt deeply but often goes unexpressed.

The purpose of the Teacher of the Year program is to express appreciation to the many outstanding educators whose examples serve as inspiration to parents, students and fellow teachers.

According to the ALEA, in no way is the teacher to be considered the best teacher in the district, but is representative of the many teachers who daily influence the lives of students.

Anyone who is currently teaching in District  No. 241 is eligible for nomination however finalists must have completed at least three full school years in the Albert Lea school system. Anyone may nominate a teacher for consideration by completing the form online at www.alschools.org  and return it to their student’s school office or mail it to Albert Lea Education Association’s Teacher of the Year Committee, P.O. Box 826, Albert Lea, MN 56007.

Nomination forms must be received by Jan. 25.
