Betsy Schoenrock had a breakout game for the NRHEG girls’ basketball team Tuesday night.
The junior forward scored 31 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a 79-50 win over Kenyon-Wanamingo.
She paced three Panthers to score in double-figures — Maddie Wagner scored 19 and Marnie Wagner added 12 — as NRHEG rebounded from a tough holiday tournament that included three losses.
“The girls shot the ball well tonight,” Panthers coach Oninka Peterson said. “It was fun to see the girls work as hard as they did and come out on top.”
The Panthers had 20 assists.
NRHEG will be on the road Thursday against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown.
