Tigers go 5-1 over weekend

After earning two Big Nine Conference wins on Thursday, the Albert Lea wrestling team headed to St. Cloud on Saturday.
The Tigers came away with a record of 4-1, including two more wins against Big Nine Conference foes Mankato West and Rochester Century.
Albert Lea’s only slip up came against Foley, where it lost 30-23.
Other than that loss, Albert Lea dominated its competition. It beat Minneapolis Roosevelt (81-0), St. Cloud Tech (48-26), Rochester Century (73-6) and Mankato West (50-25).
Albert Lea has three matches left on its schedule for the regular reason.
It will host Northfield on Thursday.
