The science fair is Feb. 4 at Southwest Middle School, according to a press release, with students in grades three through five participating. Volunteers willing to talk with students about their work are needed.

Judges will check in at 9 a.m. and have a brief instructional meeting. Judging is anticipated to last from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Judges then confer in teams of three about their results and should be done by 11 a.m. Volunteers do not need to have science expertise to be a judge.
